In 2020 Sychem launched the AirFlow Range, comprised of three unique workstations. These machines are designed to assist research facilities by maximising animal welfare, protecting animal technicians and advancing biomedical research. In addition, Sychem provides a comprehensive range of animal care solutions, services, and consumables to assist research facilities.

The AirFlow Range is an array of workstations that spans animal transfer stations, bedding disposal units, and bedding dispensers. All three workstations are unique in their makeup and utilise Sychem’s Active Airflow Technology to maximise protection for animals and users. In addition, each workstation provides a range of ergonomic advantages to protect users in their daily routine. Proudly serving the life sciences sector for 40 years, the Sychem AirFlow Range features Sychem’s Active AirFlow Technology. All three systems are compatible with the latest rodent cages on the market.

SychemFILL

SychemFILL is a bedding dispenser and is the ideal solution for modernising the cage fill process. The design features various easily adjustable programs, ensuring that you can fill any rodent cage on the market. SychemFILL is a machine that features many advantages, including:

SychemCHANGE

SychemCHANGE is a dual access animal transfer station that provides ease and protection to animal technicians within the Life Science industry. Users experience protection from exposure to laboratory animal allergens (LAA’s) through Sychem’s Active Airflow Technology. SychemCHANGE features:

SychemWASTE

SychemWASTE is a flexible bedding disposal station, designed to ensure the safe disposal of laboratory animal bedding- a mandatory requirement of any animal facility to protect technicians against laboratory animal allergens (LAA’S). Standard features include a single chute and tabletop, providing a spacious working area.

Fully customisable solutions

No Project is too big for the team here at Sychem. In the past, we have adapted our original designs to build larger, custom-built machines based on the needs of our clients.

Our R&D department developed a custom-built, automatic bedding filling station for a large Biomedical client to assist technicians and further research. The station features:

• A bulk bag discharge system with a flexible screw conveyor has been selected as the most efficient way to load the bedding dispenser.
• Gentle conveying action resulting in minimal product disturbance.
• Minimum horsepower and energy consumption.

Our R&D department also developed a custom-built, automated waste disposal station for a large Biomedical client, to assist with their animal husbandry needs. The system features:

• A 3 stage filtration air extraction, located above the dump station work area
• An easy-to-use touchscreen panel, providing the operator with system status and easy fault diagnosis
• Compatibility with all types of bedding, food and enrichments, with no risk of clogging
