SychemWASTE, our flexible bedding disposal station ensures the safe disposal of laboratory animal bedding, a mandatory requirement of any animal facility to ensure protection for their technicians against laboratory animal allergens (LAA’S).
Three-stage filtration prevents exposure to allergens, odours and debris whilst the user-configurable work surface and chute allow a comfortable workspace to suit both left and right-handed users.
Users can benefit from unmatched cleanability from the machine with removable components that can pass through a rack washer.
Featuring a plug-and-play design, the system comes as standard with a single chute and tabletop providing a spacious working area making it ideal for handling small and large cages.
Optional extras are available upon request including a second chute with knockout bar, additional bin, scraper and worksurface, side handles and magnetic bumpers.
Sychem's Active Airflow Technology extends to protect your users when tying off and removing waste bins. Air is drawn away from the user at bin level to protect them from any laboratory animal allergens (LAA's) released during this procedure.
SychemWASTE guarantees user protection. The three-stage filtration process starts by drawing air and potential allergens away from the user, preventing exposure. After the air is drawn away, it passes through the filtration process, finishing with an H14 HEPA filter.
Removable doors and sides facilitate easy access and a simple cleaning procedure. The rack washable worksurface and waste chute further allow for ease of cleaning. The removable components make our design the most maintainable waste station on the market.
A large and open work area allows for rodent cages of various shapes and sizes to be emptied easily while preventing dust, dander and allergens from escaping. The sliding work surface allows you to break down complete cages all within the station safe working environment.
The screen displays live filter information. When the machine is turned on, the display will show a red smiley face, which turns to green when the machine reaches optimal airflow levels, and is ready to be used. An amber smiley face indicates a partial blockage of the filters.
Utilising a standard interchangeable mains plug and locking castor wheels, the standalone waste disposal unit can be quickly and easily installed, even by non-technical personnel.
The first customisation of the station was developed by our R&D department as a custom-built, automated disposal waste station for a large biomedical client to assist with their animal husbandry needs.
The station featured a macerator and conveyor system to quickly and efficiently dispose of cage waste. This reduced bin change frequency and increased cage throughput.
