Sychem Surgical Ltd Expands its Reach with the Acquisition of S Murray Ltd.
Sychem is proud to share some exciting news from our sister company, Sychem Surgical on Friday 1st December completed its acquisition of the surgical division of the well-established S Murray Ltd who has been manufacturing surgical instruments at its UK manufacturing facility since 1946.
The acquisition was made with a ‘strong focus’ on strengthening current relations and utilising the wealth of experience and a dedicated team of machinists, polishers and quality control professionals. Sychem Surgical Ltd will now introduce this new product portfolio via the strength of the Sychem Surgical brand to its global customers.
This acquisition strengthens Sychem Surgical and positions them firmly within the global market as a UK Manufacturer of Medical Devices. The wealth of knowledge and expertise within the team will enhance the range and services offered to our customers serviced through the Sychem Group of companies.

History:
In 2003 Michael Barnes purchased Sychem from its founder Brian Daniels and over the last 20 years Sychem Ltd has become one of the largest independent providers of autoclave and washer PPM, testing and UKAS validation services across the UK. With its capital equipment division, we compete with the biggest names in decontamination and are extremely proud of our 17-year partnership with Steelco Group part of the Miele Group.
Supplying hospitals, laboratories and biomedical facilities with on-site services, equipment and consumables we have become a synonymous name within the UK decontamination market.
To further our support of healthcare and the important process of surgical instrument reprocessing 2023 saw the launch of a new surgical instrument company within the Sychem Group. Sychem Surgical Ltd was launched on the 1st of May 2023 with a mission to provide unrivalled customer care, value for money and high-quality products.
